Food, service, prices — it’s all good at cozy little Thai Lotus
By SY O’NEILL
The menu offers all the Thai favorites, from appetizers to soup to various curry dishes. House specials include a variety of seafood dishes featuring shrimp, crab, grouper and snapper. There’s also a sushi menu.
Tables and booths are offered in this cozy little restaurant that’s tucked into a shopping plaza on U.S. 1.
OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE
I chose a dish called Sizzling ($15.95) from the house specials list. Our server brought me a sizzling skillet piled high with stir-fried chicken, cashews, peppers, onions and diced cucumbers, all on a bed of spinach. Over the top she poured peanut dressing. Yum! The dish is served with a salad or soup and white rice. Brown rice is offered at $2 extra. My husband, the sushi fan in the family, enjoyed his dancing eel roll ($9.95). We shared a sampler of Thai appetizers ($9.95) that included chicken satay, fried wontons, spring rolls, curry puffs and dumplings, plus three dipping sauces and a cucumber salad.
REASON TO GO
The prices are good and the food is excellent. We always leave with boxes of leftovers to enjoy the next day.
Wonderful. Despite having to juggle a full restaurant and a brisk takeout business, the servers were quick and efficient. My water glass was kept full, too.
There was the usual restaurant chitchat going on, but nothing intrusive.
Definitely, if the kids like Thai food. There is no kids’ menu, but we saw several families with little ones.

My family eats here a few times a month. Excellent food and staff is eager to prepare any speial requests. Average location within a shopping center but we often take it home to enjoy with a nice bottle of wine. Food is always fresh. We've been coming here since we moved to Jupiter 10 years ago. Although restaurant has changed hands once in that time, everything is just as consistant.

. Their Pad Thai, Chicken with Cashews, Basil Tofu dishes, are great. They have great soups, salad, fried bananas, and a really nice wait staff.
I find the food to sit well with the stomach. The portions are good. However, I usually order extra chicken since the charge is only $1.
Try the fried bananas with their great vanilla sauce for dessert. Also, make sure you get there for their early bird combo meal.
